Enrico Bassi, a graduate in "Design & Engineering" and "Product Design" from Milan Polytechnic, coordinated Italy's first Fab Lab in 2011, Fab Lab Italia. He was later president and coordinator of Fab Lab Torino, the public lab of Officine Arduino. He completed in 2015 the international coso "Fab Academy," a Digital Fabrication curriculum taught by MIT professor and founder of the first Fab Lab Neil Gershenfeld. In 2016, he became "instructor" and "Global reviewer" of the new edition of the Fab Academy, held at Fab Lab Opendot, which he has been coordinating until 2023 (www.opendotlab.it). For Opendot he also follows European and international projects on the topic of opensource solutions for health (www.careables.org) and circular economy (https://reflowproject.eu/). He has taught and teaches "Digital Fabrication" and "Design&Engineering" at several universities and academies, including: LABA (Libera Accademia di belle Arti of Brescia), NABA (new accedemia of fine arts of Milan), Domus Academy (Milan) and at the Master of advanced studies in interaction design of SUPSI (Lugano)
