The final phase is devoted entirely to refining the module based on insights from data analysis and participant feedback. The module is iterated and improved to ensure it meets its learning objectives and provides an engaging and effective learning experience for the users.

1
Review Feedback and Data Analysis Results

Begin by reviewing all feedback and data collected during the testing phase. Look for trends, common issues, and areas of concern that emerged during testing. Note any elements of the module that were particularly effective or ineffective according to your participants.

2
Plan Your Iterations

Decide which changes to make based on the data. Plan for both minor and major iterations:

  • Minor iterations include simple changes like fixing typos, adjusting the layout, or changing some images.
  • Major iterations might involve adding new sections, reworking the navigation, or changing the method of instruction.

Remember, iterations should not only focus on areas that need improvement but also on enhancing areas that work well.

3
Implement Changes

Next, start implementing the planned changes. Ensure to keep track of all changes made, so you can measure their impact during the next testing cycle.

4
Re-test

After implementing changes, it's time to re-test. This involves repeating the testing process with your modified module. This could be with the same group of participants, or with a new group, depending on the nature and extent of the changes made.

5
Review and Repeat

Review the results of your re-testing and repeat the process of iteration. Remember, module design is an ongoing process that continually adapts to the needs and feedback of its learners.

This iterative process is not a one-time effort. As long as the module is being used, there is always potential for improvement. Encourage ongoing feedback even after the module has been launched, so you can continue to improve and enhance the learning experience.

6
Finalize Evaluation Protocol

After some self-conducted testing, the module will be more extensively tested by our team. In this last step, you will revisit your draft evaluation protocol (created in Team Structuring & Planing) and finalize it based on the insights you've gained during the module development and initial testing process.

  1. Review the Draft: Start by revisiting the draft of your evaluation protocol. Consider what worked well and what didn't during the testing phase.
  2. Incorporate Learnings: Update your protocol to reflect any changes in your testing objectives, scope, or methodology. Make sure to incorporate any lessons learned from the initial round of testing.
  3. Define Metrics: Define clear, measurable metrics for each aspect of the testing. This might be a specific score on a quiz, time taken to complete a task, or ratings on a satisfaction survey.
  4. Update Test Plan: Update the test plan with any changes to the tasks, questions, or other aspects of the testing.
  5. Detail Analysis Process: Explain how the data will be analyzed to understand the module's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Finalize and Document: Finalize your protocol and document it clearly. This will serve as a guide for anyone conducting testing on your module in the future, enabling them to follow a systematic, rigorous process.
