  • Photovoltaic System Performance Enhancement With Non-Tracking Planar Concentrators: Experimental Results and Bi-Directional Reflectance Function (BDRF) Based Modelling  + (Non-tracking planar concentrators are a loNon-tracking planar concentrators are a low-cost method of increasing the performance of traditional solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This paper presents new methodologies for properly modeling this type of system design and experimental results using a bi-directional reflectance function (BDRF) of non-ideal surfaces rather than traditional geometric optics. This methodology allows for the evaluation and optimization of specular and non-specular reflectors in planar concentration systems. In addition, an outdoor system has been shown to improve energy yield by 45% for a traditional flat glass module and by 40% for a prismatic glass crystalline silicon module when compared to a control module at the same orientation. When compared to a control module set at the optimal tilt angle for this region, the energy improvement is 18% for both system. Simulations show that a maximum increase of 30% is achievable for an optimized system located in Kingston, ON using a reflector with specular reflection and an integrated hemispherical reflectance of 80%. This validated model can be used to optimize reflector topology to identify the potential for increased energy harvest from both existing PV and new-build PV assets. both existing PV and new-build PV assets.)

The structural, electrical and optical properties of both the as-deposited and annealed bilayer thin films were characterized. X-ray diffraction studies show hexagonal wurtzite-type structure of ZnO with (002) orientation, which enhanced with annealing. In atomic force microscopy studies, minimum surface roughness was attained for Al-doped ZnO (AZO)/In-doped ZnO (IZO) bilayer TCO film compared to IZO/AZO bilayer film. The AZO/IZO film sheet resistance improved to 0.057 M ohm/square after post-annealing, while the single layer AZO film sheet resistance degraded upon annealing in nitrogen atmosphere. • OSAT-Protractor  + (OSAT is technology that can be used to helOSAT is technology that can be used to help advance third-world countries, but in ways that makes the most sense to those areas. For starters, the type of technology is best when is relatively sustainable. Furthermore, it is also extremely helpful when the technology runs off of parts and materials that can be developed locally and does not require large purchases. These things help prevent an area from becoming self-sustainable. 3D printers are working to be a huge contribution to OSAT. Some printers, like the JellyBox, have open source designs and can use open source files to print very useful objects. This project was my design of one the objects that can be printed. In particular, I decided to design a protractor with a spirit level. First, this will be useful in education, where protractors can be used to help teach geometric concepts. Additionally, they can be used in construction to make sure angle measurements are made accurately. Both of these purposes could be quite useful to a growing country.ould be quite useful to a growing country.)

Using your bare hands to spin a stick back and forth with enough force to create the friction needed for fire causes blisters and other wounds to form on the hands. Especially if the first attempt is unsuccessful. With this tool and a skilled user, many fires could be started much quicker and the user would have no blisters. The scad file can be customized for most sticks and rope can be hand woven from plant fiber.</br>Picture of completed print coming soon.
