Snapshot of the 3D model of the in_depth_IC_motor_1 (Diesel version). As clear in the images, the Diesel version of the IC_motor_1 only has 8 valves, and 2 pipes (inlet/outlet) connected to the cylinder, aswell as a seperate fuel inlet. The fuel is introduced to the cylinder using 2 Ricardo chambers. See also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indirect_injection. The Ricardo chambers are heated using glow plugs (1 glow plug per Ricardo chamber).
