The combustion air is forced into the burning chamber in two layers. The first layer of combustion air partially burns the fuel to create a gas. The second layer of combustion air combusts the smoke to produce a clean hot flame.\n\nWG Stoves are rated as 10 times more efficient than open fires, and three times more efficient than high efficiency clay stoves.\n\n== Commercial woodgas stoves ==\n\nThere is a comprehensive overview of commercially available stoves compiled by Christa Roth:\nhttp://web.archive.org/web/20160803115457/http://www.biochar-international.org:80/sites/default/files/HERA-GIZ%20micro-gasification%20manual%20V1.0%20January%202011.pdf\n\n== DIY woodgas stove ==\n\n* Building instructions: http://owncloud.bauraum-lowtech.org/public.php?service=files&t=3e68dd20444bfc589535155079b6516d&download&path=/microgasifier/microgasifier_wordplusdrawing.pdf\n* http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/backpackinglight/forums/thread_display.html?forum_thread_id=18867\n* http://www.garlington.biz/Ray/WoodGasStove/\n* http://www.hammockforums.net/gallery/misc.php?do=printimage&i=5287\n* http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=jw934+peanut+woodgas+magic+stove\n* http://web.archive.org/web/20181223180652/http://www.soil-carbon-regeneration.co.uk:80/biochar/instructions/biochar-rocket-building-instructions/\n* [[Forest biochar rocket stove]]\n\n== External links ==\n\n* http://files.howtolivewiki.com/wood_gasification_stove_clip.mov (2M) video of the wood gasification stove from http://web.archive.org/web/20141121074831/http://www.spenton.net:80/ in operation\n\n{{Page data\n| license = CC-BY-SA-3.0\n| keywords = Technology, Howtolive, Improved cook stoves\n| description = A wood gas stove burns cleaner and hotter.
