In order to be heavy enough and duable enough to drive nails, a bolt is used for the hammering surface. The resulting product is a very strong hammer that can drive and remove nails. This hammer is an appropriate OSAT because a hammer is one of the most basic and necessary tools to build a structure. A hammer like this would be easy to print, low cost, and fill a real need for a developing area.\n\nLink to Thingiverse page where customization can be done to the tool: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1182261\n\n== Bill of Materials ==\n\nCAD Files\n\n* Follow Thingiverse link above for the FreeCAD file\n* \n\nSTL\n\n* \n\nExtra Parts\n\n* 3/4\" x 3.5\" bolt\n\n== Tools needed ==\n\n# MOST Delta RepRap or similar RepRap 3-D printer\n# 1/18\" wrench for bolt installation.\n\n== Skills and knowledge needed ==\n\n* There is no special skills needed to make this tool.\n\n== Technical Specifications and Assembly Instructions ==\n\n# If any changes to the design want to be done, open the SCAD file and adjust the parameters.\n# Slicing instructions\n## Fill % = 100 (Less infill could probably be used)\n## Speed = 50 mm/sec\n## Layer Height =.15 mm\n## No support Needed\n## I recommend using a brim on the print\n## Print the hammer standing up, hammer head end down\n# Print time with above settings will be about 15 Hours\n# Tread bolt into hammer with a wrench after printing.\n\n=== Common Problems and Solutions ===\n\nBolt can be difficult to thread into the hammer, I used a vise to hold the hammer stationary.\n\n== Cost savings ==\n\n* Filament needed: 235 grams @ $18.39/kg = $4.32\n* Hardware needed: 1 bolt @ $0.91\n* At a total cost of $5.23\n\nCommercial Equivalents\n\n* Equivalents range from $9.97 () to $199.97 ()\n\nSaving amount\n\n* The savings are anywhere from $4.74 to $194.74\n* The percentage saved ranges from 47.5% to 97.4%\n\n== Gallery ==\n\n<gallery>\nFile:Hammer iso.jpg|Hammer 1\nFile:Hammer top.jpg|Hammer 2\nFile:Hammer head.jpg|Hammer 3\n</gallery>\n\n== References ==\n\n<references />\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n"}
