Planer concentrators for thermal collectors have been studied extensively and have been found to substantially increase energy yield. Some studies have looked at planer concentrators applied to PV systems and analyzed optimal reflector and panel angles to maximize insolation increase. These studies showed theoretical and experimental performance increases by 20 to 30%. However, to date, the loss mechanisms associated with these systems have not been fully understood, and work must be done to determine how low concentration systems can be optimized to account for such losses.","Page image":"File:Lowc.png","Page is part of":"Category:QAS completed projects and publications","Page keywords":"optics, photovoltaics, energy, low concentration planer concentrators, array-scale","Page language":"en","Page license":"CC-BY-SA-3.0","Page title":"Effects of low concentration planer concentrators on array-scale solar photovoltaic systems performance","Page views":"250","Page year":"Saturday, 01-Jan-11 00:00:00 UTC","Project authors":"User:J.M.Pearce, Nabeil Alazzam, Rob Andrews","Project coordinates":"44.305413888889, -76.428377777778","Project location":"Kingston, Canada","Project thumb":"https://www.appropedia.org/w/images/thumb/4/40/Lowc.png/330px-Lowc.png","Modification date":"Friday, 28-Nov-25 03:07:52 UTC"}
