A previous student designed one years ago and I was not impressed with the design or that I was not able to customize it on thingiverse. I remade it with a different design and made the shaft diameter and the length of the grip variable. Printing a shovel handle is an easy way to ensure you are getting what you need and my design will make sure it is also comfortable in your hands.\n\n== Bill of Materials ==\n\n# OS compatible 3D printer\n# 2- M6X140 bolts\n# 2- M6x1.0 standard nuts\n## https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3263057| necessary files to download here\n\n== Tools needed ==\n\n# [[Athena Build Overview|MOST Delta RepRap]] or similar RepRap 3-D printer\n# M6 screwdriver\n\n== Skills and knowledge needed ==\n\nNone! Consider the elegance of IKEA like instructions.\n# Aprox. 9 hours for my printer at 40mm/s\n# 15-20 minutes to assemble\n\n=== Common Problems and Solutions ===\n\nPrints failing is the most common problem I have run across. Tighten any bolts, belts, and recalibrate if necessary.\n\n== Cost savings ==\n\n* If your solution is not a low cost one then it is not really appropriate.\n# My print surface did not allow for me to print it on its side. so with my supports, it cost $3.12\n# $8.08 is the cheapest on amazon before shipping\n# You save at minimum, $5.00\n\n== Benefited Internet Communities ==\n\n* The Garden Web Forums - [https://www.gardenweb.com/]\n* Tomatoville - [http://www.tomatoville.com/]\n* Terraforrums - [http://www.terraforums.com/forums/index.php]\n* Gardenstew - [https://www.gardenstew.com/]\n* The British Cactus and Succulent Society - [http://forum.bcss.org.uk/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=43e58d4c601ffe00c55f9834273ec0b8]\n\n== References ==\n\nDesigned by me with hand calculations.
