Wood gasification stoves use sophisticated combustion engineering realized in the form of cheap sheet metal forced air stoves. The combustion air is forced into the burning chamber in two layers. The first layer of combustion air partially burns the fuel to create a gas. The second layer of combustion air combusts the smoke to produce a clean hot flame.

WG Stoves are rated as 10 times more efficient than open fires, and three times more efficient than high efficiency clay stoves.

Commercial woodgas stoves

Currently, one Wood gasification stove, The WoodGas(TM) Campstove is available in the market for sale. It uses two AA batteries for fan power, which will power the stove for approximately 10 hours. The combustion chamber will burn twigs, wood pellets, or other debris cleanly and efficiently. Heat output of the stove is 10,000btu/hr (3KW). Due to the two stage combustion system of the stove, emissions are low, and very little fuel is consumed.

The current retail price of the WoodGas(TM) campstove is $55.00. Inventory is available, and wholesale quantities are available at appropriate discounts. Possible accessories to the stove include premium fuels, such as compressed wood pellets, solar photovoltaic chargers to limit battery usage, and various alcohol based fuels for use as starters.

The ZZstove is another woodgas stove. The Turbo stove is a woodgas stove, working on the inverted downdraft principle; see http://www.woodgas.com/Turbo%20Stove%20MS-PITBC%20FINAL.pdf
