Your opinion on Charcoal cooling[edit source]
Hello L. Crofoot,
I wanted to seek out your help with an idea I had. I am trying to figure out effective ways to cool a 8ft X 20ft room. I am exploring options in all different price ranges. I like the idea of charcoal cooling but I am wondering if it will work for my setup...
I am planning on having individual stalls that are 8 ft by 20 ft. I want to wet the charcoal walls and use a fan to pull air out the top using a fan.
My first question is... Is the room too large for this type of cooling? I assume that if I can get a fan large enough (CFM) to balance with the water input/evaporation I can make it work, but as far as the setup (pulling air up through a fan, and room size) what is you opinion on the subject.
I am working as an advisor in Afghanistan. Your help, if able would be very valuable to me.
