Hi Kili,
Just wanted to check in with you.  I've seen a bunch of your new pages, and it's exciting to see the progress!  Also, I want to ask when you think is the right time to make an announcement about our new Kiswahili support?  Part of me is thinking "sooner is better", but at the same time I believe in making a good first impression.  We can also make our announcements in stages.  For example, you or I could write a blog post that mentions the coming announcement, and perhaps that way we could find others in the community that could help us when we are ready for the main announcement.

Welcome!

Appropedia-logo.jpg

Hi Kili,

Welcome to the Appropedia wiki. Please make yourself at home! If you need a general wiki-tutorial, see the main help page (or the more in-depth one on WikiEducator).

Check your preferences and be sure you verify your email address and turn on email notification if you'd like it -- you can find out when your talk page, or any page on your watchlist, is modified. You may want to upload a photo or information about yourself to your userpage (which is at User:Kili).

If you have a particular interest or project in mind, go ahead and start it! If you have questions or suggestions, the best place to leave them is at our community discussion page, which we call the Village pump - you should get a fast response. Or, feel free to leave me a note on my talk page if you have further questions, need help finding your way around, have a cool idea for a project, or just want to chat.

Glad to have you here!

Curt's Welcome

Hi Kili, I am very glad to see your user page! Welcome, welcome! And what a great user name, reminds me of the other big Kili in Tanzania. Does the mountain also have a connection to a Christopher?

I look forward to working with you to grow Appropedia in ways that are appropriate for East Africa and the whole continent. CurtB 06:52, 6 February 2011 (PST)
