Welcome!

Hi Jimmiller5417,

Welcome to the Appropedia wiki. Please make yourself at home! If you need a general wiki-tutorial, see the main help page (or the more in-depth one on WikiEducator).

Check your preferences and be sure you verify your email address and turn on email notification if you'd like it -- you can find out when your talk page, or any page on your watchlist, is modified. You may want to upload a photo or information about yourself to your userpage (which is at http://appropedia.org/User:Jimmiller5417).

If you have a particular interest or project in mind, go ahead and start it! If you have questions or suggestions, the best place to leave them is at the Village pump - you should get a fast response. Or, feel free to leave me a note on my talk page if you have further questions, need help finding your way around, have a cool idea for a project, or just want to chat.

Glad to have you here!

Thanks for your contributions. FYI I moved some links from the portal to Sustainability organizations. The great thing about a wiki is that it can keep evolving. Hope you stay around. --Chriswaterguy 03:00, 2 October 2008 (PDT)

GEGA?

Hi Jim,

I wanted to check with you about material that you've copied in from the GEGA site - do you have permission to release this under Appropedia's open license? It looks like really interesting material, but unfortunately we can't use material that is restricted by copyright. Ideas from the site, or links to it, are completely fine though.

We'll also need to move content to suitable pages, and it's easy to start new pages if we need. But it's best if we work out the copyright on the GEGA text first.

Let me know if you have any questions. --Chriswaterguy 04:31, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I moved some of the content, and tagged part of it with copyright notices - see Community Renewable Energy Development Funding‎. Do you want to rewrite those sections? (Maybe a summary and link.)
I haven't had time to read through it all, but it seems like you doing a lot of thinking about important things.
I Googled your username and it seems you're in Oregon - is that right? Are you aware of OSNCamp 2008, coming up in San Francisco the weekend after this one? Looking forward to hearing back from you. --Chriswaterguy 05:52, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
