Response to suggestion at User_talk:Lonny#Gender

Hi Jayne,

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I definitely agree that Gender should a category under Culture and community. I have made it so, but I have not added any content to it. The way things work around here, is that people with interest and expertise Boldly add to categories and others come along and do the same. All changes are tracked on the history tab, and any version can be easily reverted to.

We are excited to have you here and we would love to provide any wiki help that we can. Please feel free to start editing the category Gender as you see fit, or ask questions on my userpage. Here are a few hints to get you started:

  • You can sign your posts to userpages using 4 tildes, i.e. ~~~~.
  • Links to appropedia pages use two brackets, such as [[Gender]] which leads to Gender.
  • Double equal signs, i.e. ==Introduction==, make toplevel headings.
  • The Help pages have more information on style... but content is much more important. Others can help with the styling.

Thank you, --Lonny 22:07, 13 July 2007 (PDT)

Welcome!

Glad to have you here, and glad to see someone taking an interest in gender issues. So far there's little here, and even less at at Wikipedia, where there have been no additions to what I wrote quite some months ago. I'm keen to see this area developed, so if you want a hand with anything, please let me know! --Chriswaterguy · talk 03:15, 22 July 2007 (PDT)
