Welcome to Appropedia, thank you for your excellent contributions so far. Your mission is fantastic and very in sync with Appropedia. I am not sure if you know any of the other Appropedia people, but the admin most dedicated to the pursuit of public domain works is Chriswaterguy. Please consider dropping a message on his discussion page to discuss some of your ideas.

In addition, if you are looking for places to go do development work as an engineering student, feel free to ask me some questions and let me know what you are looking for. I consult and have contacts with many projects that may fit your passion.

Thanks for taking part in welcoming newcomers. I'm not sure if you're aware, but you can use the {{Welcome}} template - it's best to "substitute" rather than transclude, though: just enter '''{{subst:Welcome|yourusername}}'''

Requesting permission

Did I point this page out already? Appropedia:Requesting permission. I think Curt has edited it since I last looked, and I think it's much improved - clear and to the point.

You can do either - but if you reply on your own page, it's best to tell the person on their own talk page.

That's a real challenge - do your best, keep track of what you've done (e.g. use labels or folders to keep track of emails you've sent and received) and if there's no response, we'll see if we can think of other approaches. Maybe we could make a list of those we're trying to find, and send emails out to our contacts and relevant university departments and organizations.
