I graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science: Appropriate Technology. In 2013 I became a science teacher, and in 2017 received my Masters of Education from UC Davis. I currently teach High School Biology, Chemistry and AP Environmental Science.

I feel that teaching the next generation about environmental issues and solutions is one of the most important things I do. I am pushing my school to have a greater focus on the environment and hope to create a course pathway for students interested in sustainability. I recently took over the school garden and am using the opportunity to bring some of the appropriate technology concepts I learned in Humboldt to the Sacramento area.
