Experience in Appropriate Technology
- In my first year of college (2011) at my University in Brazil, I worked on a project where we do the contrast of mechanized and manual fertilizer production for plantation in a farm located in the region. Three piles of manual aeration with different proportions of grass and organic materials, coming from the college restaurant, were designed. Also were designed three drums with different holes for automatic aeration of this compound. We conducted monitoring and physic-chemical analysis of the compound. After production of fertilizers, they were applied to seedlings to select the best proportion of materials, compared to the efficiency of growth in height and width of these vegetables.
