Tyler Callahan
Hello, I am twenty-one year old student enjoying my second semester at Humboldt State. My High School experience took place at San Ramon Valley High in Danville, Ca where I grew up. I didn't do anything academically relevent to engineering but got good grades and participated on the Varsity tennis team. I've been working since I was sixteen years old occupying jobs at a Restaurant and Circuit City before going to college. With aspirations to attend Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo I wanted to become an Electrical Engineer. After attending Cuesta Community College in SLO for three years I found myself losing interest in Cal Poly. During my 3 years there I worked at Costco in various positions ranging from cashier to Photo lab tech. This job helped to build my human relations with coworkers and gave me many chances to work in groups with employees, and complete tasks that helped to better the company. My admission to HSU caught my interest; I quickly understood that the CSU's bold Environmental Engineering reputation comfortably fit my academic pursuits. I'm currently living in Arcata and experiencing what the school and surrounding area have to offer. I enjoy spending my free time outdoors, playing sports, reading, and spending time with friends.

- I have an affinity for the improvement of the environment with science and ingenuity.
