My name is Richard Moog.
I am a junior at Cal Poly Humboldt with a major in Environmental Science, emphasis in Climate and Energy. When I'm not at school or studying, most of my time is spent playing music (in a band and on my own), reading, or simply relaxing.

Experience in Appropriate Technology[edit | edit source]

  • I helped my dad build a picket fence out of old pallets.
  • I attempted to make a very low tech vertical garden out of used plastic solo cups nailed to boards and leaned them against a wall so that the excess water, when poured into the top cup, would not just get soaked into the ground like a usual potted plant, but go through each plant below it on the board. The idea was also based on the very limited yard space I had behind my apartment.
