My name is Nils Reichert and I'm a student at Technical University Brandenburg in Cottbus, Germany.
Besides I take a deep and long-standing interest and passion for free software, culture and minds, animal rights and environmental issues. Of course, good books and music are even more exciting.
Course of Studies
The course of studies I'm enrolled it goes by the name Culture and Technolgy and covers a vast area of academic disciplines, from philosophy, economics and cultural studies to natural sciences, engineering and law.
Free Software
I've used a lot of free operating systems, GNU/Linux distribution ranging from Ubuntu, Debian and Fedora to Gentoo and Sourcemage, over the years and am quite literate by now. I'm currently engaged in the revival of the BLAG Linux and GNU distribution.
Animal Rights / Environmental Issues
At the age of 15 I decided to go vegan. Since then I've also tried to get as much of the goods I buy from organical production, favorably including fair working conditions. I also favor goods that I can either build myself or at least understand, repair and enhance.
