Biography

I obtained my masters(2014-2016) in Automation and Robotics with the specialization in 3D printer technology from Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, India and did undergrad in Mechanical Engineering. My Masters research was aimed at development of 3d Printers oriented towards workshops and entrepreneurship. The project aimed to manufacture fused deposition modelling (FDM) based 3D printer with reduced cost and material saving corresponding to the competitive printers available in market. The project was Funded BY Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU),Lucknow. Later my work was patented on 08/30/2019,Application No.201811038028 A. Also I was Pivotal member of The Engineering Team Of Next Big Innovation Labs Pvt.Ltd and had Been involved in many Key Projects related to 3D Bioprinting majorly involved in Conception and Construction of Trivima(customizable Commercial 3D Bioprinter) and played an Intrinsic role in the Development of 3D Bioprinted Human Skin(Innoskin).

Dissertation and patent details

To lower the net cost of 3D Printer I have chosen belt pulley arrangement with slider rails coupled with extruder head to make x-gantry system. Extruder head was assembled with printed parts designed and prepared using the traditional 3D printer Prusa i3. Additionally, the frame of the Machine was made with Aluminium Extrusion rails. To make sure the height of extruder assembly matches with the heated bed plate we have mounted the x-y motors upside down on the frame keeping in mind that x-y gantry System should covered under the frame. Heated Bed plate have the movement along z axis, which is an uncommon norm in regular printers, with lead Screw and smooth rod arrangement having height of 500 mm so it can produce bigger size specimen too. The printer is capable of printing the minimum of 0.1mm layer thickness which can reach upto a speed of 150 mm/s and feed rate of about 6.66 mm^3/s The printer uses PLA as the printing material. I worked on Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller,Marlin firmware, Repetier Host and Pronterface to make this project feasible. My technical skill set includes Creo-parametric, fusion 360,Solidworks,Autocad,NX and G code programming.
