This is a very brief start of notes on connoisseurism.

The connoisseur is the person that knows where their resource comes from (e.g. energy from wind, water from rain or watershed, food from local farm) and relishes in the sound use of the resource. The connoisseur spends time to critically analyze but also time to enjoy their consumption.

Following are some typical belief/behaviours of the stereotypes:

Consumer
  • consumes
  • little care or knowledge about source of resource
  • enjoys consumption
Conservationist
  • conserves
  • lots of care and knowledge about source of resource
  • belabors consumption
Connoisseur
  • savors
  • lots of care and knowledge about source of resource
  • relishes consumption
