Hi I'm Landon, and I am WAY excited to be tapped into APPROPEDIA!
I am a student at Queen's University (GPA = 4.0, no big deal) in my 4th year of BioEnvironmental Chemical Engineering.
My interests are not too ambitious, I just want to save the world. What's wrong with it? Human activity is destroying the environment, the same environment that humans depend on for survival. Species extinction, decreased biodiversity, increased human population, unsustainable living and pollution are just a few of the problems I am interested in solving.
I have been inspired to sign onto Appropedia through the 4th Year Mechanical Engineering course "Sustainable Development" (MECH 425), a course offered by Joshua Pearce. My first project is to add to Appropedia on 'Local Self Reliance' - from the AT Encyclopedia. Sidenote: my group members rock, we are Group 3.
