- My first love in the world of sustainability is waste management. So, appropriate technologies like composting, to-go dishware alternatives, or upcycled construction materials interest me.
- My second love in the wold of sustainability is alternative transportaion methods. Appropriate means of transportation, from bikes to electric cars to improved city infrastructure, interest me.

- Over the past couple years I have strengthened my commitment to a healthy body and environment by riding my bike to and from school. I ride my hand-me-down, steel-frame, 1980's touring bike upwards of 25 miles a week. In most cases, one's transition to a means of alternative transportation is probably not convenient or comfortable, whether its a bike or the bus. But, since biking my way to school I have experienced benefits like increased physical strength, mental/emotional stability, and awareness of my community's natural landscapes.
- Prior to my roommates graduation party, my roommates and I collected a slew of pre-owned glass mason jars. We used the jars as cups, lanterns, and for decorative table flowers. After the party we cleaned the jars and are storing them for canning later this summer.
