About Me

Name: Jessie Misha

Jessie Misha is an instructor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Humboldt State University. After graduating from HSU with a Bachelors in English and Environmental Ethics, she went on to receive her Master of Arts in Media Practice at the University of Sydney. Jessie Misha has continued to combine her study of media and passion for the environment to promote local resilience projects with Community Created Humboldt, statewide environmental health projects with Californians for Alternatives to Toxics, and international sustainability projects with the Appropedia Foundation. She is currently teaching International Mass Communication and enjoying the additional context that she is able to bring to this course as a result of her experience living/working/studying/traveling throughout Europe, the Americas, Oceania, Asia and the Middle East.
