- I am an Senior Environmental Science and Management Major with the option of Energy and Climate at Humboldt State University.
Interests in Appropriate Technology
- Hydro Technologies
My interest in hydro technologies originates from spending much of my childhood camping at local California beaches, as well as a variety of lakes in Northern California. There is just something about the natural power of water that captures my attention and allows me to think of the plethora of ways in which we can use it.
- Photovoltaic
My interests in solar technologies are somewhat recent, developing more rapidly as I progress in my college career. I find projects such as those conducted by Tesla to be the most interesting, ones where these technologies can be used by the masses.
- Landscape Renovation
Landscape renovation is something that came up as a potential project topic in class, re-purposing front lawns into productive community gardens was something of a new concept to me. This is something that I am researching more on.
Experience in Appropriate Technology
- I am fairly new to the field of appropriate technology, but I do have a varied interest in many of its topics. This semester I plan on taking my first steps to getting acquainted with this topic of study.
