Emily graduated in Farmington High School in 2013. During school she participated in multiple activities and was a leader in most of the organizations that she was a part of. For her entire high school career she participated in Marching Band and the Auditorium Tech Crew. She was the section leader of both her section in marching band and jazz band for her junior and senior year, and the head of the tech crew for her junior and senior year. For marching band her duties included teaching new members the music and marching and running the section as an administrator and an instructor. As the Head of the Tech Crew she had a hand in building all of the sets for the schools plays and musicals and was up in the booth during those performances running the lights and sound. She also had to delegate those various positions to the younger students, all the while teaching them how to use the various equipment. | |||

As a first year student majoring in Material Science and Engineering, Emily is enrolled in University Chemistry, Multivariable Calculus, Engineering Problem Solving and Analysis and the Physics and Chem Labs. She is also pursuing a minor in German Language and Culture. Her extracurricular activities include the Pep Band and the Advanced Metalworks Enterprise. In addition she is involved in the Pavlis Institute, currently taking a leadership workshop. | |||

Emily Hunt
Bio
Emily Hunt is a first year undergraduate student at Michigan Technological University majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. Her interest is in metallurgy and materials with electrical properties. Currently she is working towards a MacArthur Internship for the 2014 spring semester.
Background
