Eleanor ter Horst
About Me
I'm a professor in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literature at the University of South Alabama. I teach German and French. My research interests have been in the area of literature and film (Comparative Literature, French and German). At this point, however, I'm interested in establishing links between this mostly English-language website and the important research on sustainable development being conducted in German- and French-speaking countries. To this end, I have collaborated with a professor of Physics and Engineering, Dr. Joshua Pearce, and several students to establish and expand the German-language content on Appropedia.
Courses
I have used Appropedia to support the following courses. Students translate articles from English to German and learn about concepts of sustainability across cultures.
