Contributions Viability of recycling semiconductors in LED Televisions

My name is Danielle and I am currently a junior at Michigan Tech studying Materials Science & Engineering. As of right now, my plan is to get my master's degree in physical metallurgy soon after I finish my bachelor's degree. I am a part of The Advanced Metalworks Enterprise (AME), and a member to Materials United.

In my spare time, I love to go hiking, biking, and swimming. I play viola for the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra (KSO) while attending school.

Current Projects[edit | edit source]

  • In AME, I am working on a project given to us by ArcelorMittal in which my team and I have to research why certain metals experience a loss of ductility (or a "ductility trough") within a certain temperature range. We will start testing samples in the coming weeks.
  • I am taking a semiconductors class (MY3701), and will be working on researching recycling possibilities of semiconductors in LED televisions. My team and I will be posting our progress here.
