In 2007 The National Weather Service announced Los Angeles was undergoing its longest dry spell since records began 130 years ago, fueling wildfires that have plagued the US west coast in recent years.

While LA is not an agricultural community if rain doesn't fall on it rain doesn't fall on much of California.
