Temporary fix
The code used in the template above is a simpler version without optional arguments. The talk link DOES NOT WORK OUTSIDE THE MAIN NAMESPACE. This will not be obvious, so please do not use it for that - just copy the code and edit the talk link.
Following (not used in the template) is the code based on Wikipedia's mergefrom template - it's not working here, presumably as [functions] are not working yet.
It has been suggested that [[:Template:{{{1}}}|{{{1}}}]] be merged into this page or section. (Discuss)
This template was adapted from Wikipedia:Template:Mergefrom, and still needs work (or the redlinks need work).
