m (moved Technical phrase dictionary to Technical phrase language translations: previous title was not descriptive enough)
(No difference)

Revision as of 22:24, 29 March 2010

Technical or semi-technical phrases are often idiomatic and should not be literally translated. Once you have found a good translation for a phrase, please add it here to aid others in translation.

Guidelines

  • You may ask for a translation by creating an entry in one language.
  • If you can add a translation for an entry already in the table, please do so.
  • The table format can make it easier to find something, but harder to edit. If you want to add an entry, but are unsure of how to manipulate the table layout, simply add the phrase to the "untabulated entries section below, and someone else with more table experience (but less bilingual) can add it to the table later.
  • For now, this page will support all categories and all languages. When this becomes unwieldy, we should separate by category first, since there is efficiency in having all supported languages on the same page.

Note: the category section headings in this table should be translated, just as the entries are translated.

Untabulated entries

Add entries here if you are not comfortable manipulating the table format.

If you add an entry here, be sure to identify the language(s) of the phrases, and the category, so that someone else can insert it into the table. Example: Grey water (English), XYZ (Deutsch), Category: water
