Removed the copyedit request[edit source]

I think this "how to" now reads well, so I removed the copyedit request. Thank you 124.178.207.48 from Australia for the finishing few touches. --Lonny 07:32, 24 December 2006 (PST)

Sheet metal component[edit source]

The sheet metal is acting like a nailing plate or gusset. This article suggests that a flattened tin can would be a suitable material, which is tin plate (steel galvanized with tin, but very thin). It would be better if the metal sheet is galvanized to delay corrosion. If as the image suggests the "welded" wood frame is to be load bearing (e.g. roundwood roof trusses), and the sheet metal is v thin section to begin with, corrosion might be a serious concern, and using such a thin section of metal might not be strong enough. Of course, depends entirely on the application. Moribund (talk) 11:02, 13 March 2019 (PDT)
