The article is well written. The explanations given are clear and concise. Here is a list of recommendations I have for you:

- Watch out for acronyms, I'm pretty sure you don't give the complete name for the following: FET (wiki link does not exist), MWNT, SWNT

- In the carbon feedstock section (under CVD) you mention that "The reactivity of the molecule is an important factor determining which hydrocarbon to use". However, you never say in which way the reactivity affects the process and whether it is desirable to have a high or low reactivity.

- In the plasma enhanced CVD, does plasma enhance the efficiency of the process or does it just increase the rate of production?

- In the water assisted section, there is something wrong with how you define the variables of the equation (there is no Beta in the equation)

- It would be good to include more details in the Overview section about potential uses. Maybe describe what role they would play in photovoltaics or how the optical properties are unique. I think the description is too broad to give the reader a good idea of the potential benefits of CNTs. Are there any estimates of yield strength?

- I think it would also be good to describe why nanotubes have such good stiffness, electronic and optical properties. Use some materials knowledge to explain why the composition of the nanotubes yields such favorable properties.

- I was curious if people had started looking into ways of using raw nanotubes and using them in simple applications. It seems to me it would be difficult to take the tubes from the substrate and form useable components. Maybe give a more in depth description of the purification or catalyst annealing processes.
