This was on the main page-- true but needs to be on a more appropriate page:  Another approach is to design the collector so that the PV cells don't heat up in the first place, by splitting the beam into spectrum ranges more appropriate for each respective absorber/converter technology. This frees the collector manufacturer to use any or a range of PV cell technologies, according to market dynamics. Energy Pioneers International of Singapore is developing this approach to market, and will establish a demonstration system in India in 2013.
