Grains reduce disease risk: Links?[edit source]

Article says: "According to the United States Department of Agriculture, fresh grains as part of the diet reduce the risk of several chronic diseases, including heart disease, and provide many vital nutrients." -- If anybody has any links on this handy, could they please add to Grain? Thanks. -- Writtenonsand 10:47, 25 February 2008 (PST)

It's also worth thinking about what the appropriate recommendation is for those who struggle to get enough nutrition, rather than the overnourished Westerners who might be the object of the USDOA's recommendations. Maybe the users would eat the grains anyway, but this device saves money and effort; or maybe it enables them to have more control over their own milling, so they can grind the grains they want, which might mean more variety, and and might mean a healthier diet. --Chriswaterguy · talk 18:13, 25 February 2008 (PST)
