The SEI has expanded since its creation and now includes research facilities divided into seven regions:

  • Stockholm, Sweden
  • York, United Kingdom
  • Oxford, United Kingdom
  • Tallinn, Estonia
  • United States (Offices in Massachusetts, California, and Seattle)
  • Bangkok, Thailand
  • Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania
