Someone living in the US purchases a light, for $39-$49, plus shipping and handling from their warehouse in Houston.  A second light, from this sole purchase cost of $39-$49 no more money, is then donated to a general fund, or the purchaser may select a particular non-profit to receive the 'give' light.  When the non-profit accrues 500 lights in their account, they can tell us where they want the lights to be sent, or they can wait until they receive a larger amount of lights, depending upon their need.  They ship the second category of lights at our expense anywhere in the world, Port to Port via sea freight and the non-profit clears the lights from Customs and distribute the lights to the groups they are supporting in the developing world.  They also give the non-profit $1.00 for each light, to assist in paying for the distribution of the lights.[https://www.bogolight.com/Articles.asp?ID=137]
