Red light therapy (RLT) is a simple procedure that involves exposing the body to the red light of low wavelength. Low-level laser light therapy is another name for the process, although RLT may be more common.

This red light is natural and can penetrate deep into the skin, where cells can absorb and use it.

Like a study [1] published in the journal Seminars in Notes on Medicine and Skin Surgery, mitochondria in skin cells can absorb these light particles. This can help cells produce more adenosine triphosphate, which is the source of energy for all cells.

Many experts attribute the possible positive benefits of RLT to this function. With this extra energy, cells can respond better to damage and rejuvenate.

Although there is a first investigation on the RLT, there is still no conclusive evidence that it is a beneficial treatment. Many studies show that treatment has promised, but more extensive human clinical trials will help determine the possible applications of RLT.

RLT is used in different conditions like psoriasis, relieve pain and stiffness in people with rheumatoid arthritis, also used in wrinkles reduction, improve joint health and also used in Total body enhancement [2] along with vibration.

This type of low level laser therapy is also used in growing denser and healthy hairs. [3]
