A motor or engine is a machine designed to convert energy into useful mechanical motion.[1][2]

Types[edit | edit source]

Motors can be categorised according to the substance they use to create the mechanical motion. As such, (bio)fuel motors, compressed air motors and electric motors can be distinguished.
