MOST Lab Social Distancing Rules
- Email the MOST list to let people know when you are going to be in the lab so we we will minimize dual use, maximize printer up time, and minimize trips.
- Do not enter the lab if you are feeling sick in any way or have a fever.
- Only 1 person picks up supplies for receiving/day and distributes them via entryway Gigabot.
- Sanitize your hands with the hand sanitizer as you enter and leave the lab.
- Assume every surface in the lab is contaminated.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Use your own eye protection.
- Sanitize anything you are worried about with sanitation wipes.
- Stay a minimum of 6 feet from everyone in the lab at all times.
MOST Lab COVID19 Medical Production
- Follow all rules for ‘MOST Lab Social Distancing Rules’
- Attempt to maximize production – e.g. start prints first thing when you enter.
- Sanitize bed clearer & all the main controls for shared 3-D printers with wipes before use.
- Clear print bed with paint scraper/clearer pushing away from yourself – put finished prints in boxes by type of PPE, etc.
- Start all all non-research active 3-D printers to print COVID-19 donations with available plastics using working gcode on the SD card in the printer.
- Leave hand written note taped to printer if there is an issue if you are unable to fix it.
- If email indicates a new medical need – slice, load gcode on SD cards and leave in printer. (Make sure you are using the appropriate machine type when slicing – especially for MOAR struders. Always start MOARs first as you can get multiple runs in per unit time you are in the lab.)
