Impact Factors follow the journal's name with (year) found, Newer journals will not have an impact factor. Sustainability/Appropriate technology is a new and growing interdisciplinary field and impact factors are of lesser value to it than a conventional field like medicine.

The ideal journal would have 1) rapid peer review, 2) open access, 3) no publication charges and 4) a high impact factor.
