Abstract
Our client Ken, at the Redwood Discovery Museum located in Eureka asked our group to make a Pythagorean Theorem model that shows the proof that A squared plus B squared is equal to C squared. We completed this task by making an all acrylic model of a 3x4x5in right triangle with the areas attached to each side. We then filled up this model and dyed the interior color blue to fully enhance the theorem.
Background
The Pythagorean Theorem is taught in every school, but our model displays physically how and where these numbers come from and mean.

Testing Results
We found that kids really like watching the water or material fall from two sides of the triangle to fill up the bottom one.

Once all acrylic is cut to size, use acrylic glue #14 to get watertight seals.

Add more water through unscrewing valve on back of the model.
Instructions
To fill liquid inside model, first unscrew cap on back of model then fill with regular water.
Troubleshooting
Lower water level than usual: Unscrew valve on back of model, fill model with water
If acrylic cracks: Salvage as much as possible, and use acrylic glue #14 to re seal joints.
Discussion and next steps
If model is cracked past repair, a new model must be made.
