By the end of the Introduction module, students will understand:

  1. The Green Building Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program modules, objectives, dates and requirements
  2. The collaboratively created class agreements
  3. More about the other students
  4. The general concept of sustainable design

Goals[edit | edit source]

The following are some of the main goals for the Introduction module.

Concepts[edit | edit source]

By the end of the Introduction module, students will understand the following concepts (among others):

  • Names and focuses of their peers
  • Basics of sustainable design
  • Program modules, objectives, dates and requirements
  • Key ingredients for successful teams
  • Applications for sustainable design

Vocabulary and units[edit | edit source]

By the end of the Introduction module, students will be able to confidently use the following vocabulary and/or units (among others):

  • Sustainability, sustainable design, module, assessment questions

Calculations[edit | edit source]

By the end of the Introduction module, students will be able to do the following calculations (among others):

  • No calculations are needed for this module

How to[edit | edit source]

By the end of the Introduction module, students will be comfortable doing the following (among others):

  • Work on a team
  • Contribute to collaborative work

Field trips[edit | edit source]

By the end of the Introduction module, students will be have gone on the following field trips (possibly among others):

  • This 1-day module has no field trip, but does have a lot of collaborative work sessions
