Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) is an annual plant in the same family as peas and beans (Fabaceae).[1]
Description
The plant grows 30cm - 60cm (1 to 2 feet).
The flowers and pods have a similar appearance to those of pea plants. Each pod will have around 10 to 20 seeds. The seeds are small, yellow and hard.

Uses for fenugreek
Fenugreek is used for flavouring dishes such as curries, either whole or ground. The taste is slightly bitter and sweet. When roasted, the seeds have a strong aroma.
Fenugreek sprouts can be added to salads.
