Description

Engineering 305 (Engr 305), Appropriate Technology, is a course on appropriate technology at Humboldt State University taught by instructor Lonny Grafman.

  • Vermicomposting system (2-3 people)
  • Informational kiosk stand (1-2 people)
  • Data Logging (1 or more persons)
  • Bicycle powered blender improvements (2-3 people)
  • Bicycle powered tool station (2-3 people)
  • Mobile Energy Generating Station improvements (2-4 people)
  • Greenshed improvements to lights (2-4 people)
  • Vertical garden (2-3 people)
Bayside Park Farm
  • Rainwater catchment system (2-4 people)
    • Off the side of the produce rinsing building
  • Living roof (1-3 people)
    • Just the roof component, i.e. you do not need to build the component under the roof (unless you have that skill/desire)
    • Above the cob oven
  • Natural paint (1-4 people)
    • With the added difficulty of being for the outside of structures
  • Rocket stove with grill top (1-2 people)
