Lesson Plan: Wednesday, June 21st

Name of Lesson: What kinds of Plants are growing in the Garden

Goals:

To teach students about the different fruits and vegetables that we are growing in the Garden.

Objectives:

The students will learn what plants are growing in the garden.

Materials:

White paper, markers, hole puncher, and string.

Teacher Set:

“Today we are going to learn about the different vegetables growing in the garden. Who can tell me what plants we have planted in the garden so far? Cucumbers, watermelon, melon, lettuce, etc. We are going to draw those plants, cut them out, and string them up behind the garden.”

Activity:

The students will draw the fruits and vegetables that are in the garden. They will cut them out and punch a hole in the top. All of the plants will be strung up together and hung behind the garden.

Assessment:

The students are assessed by knowing how to draw the different plants in the garden that we have talked about before.
