== Gallery Spring 2008 - Full Belly Project ==
The Spring semester of Engineering 215 worked with the [[Full Belly Project]] on a number of design issues.
There were essentially three different areas covered:
*Haiti <!-- Could use some descriptions -->
**[[FBP_Hot_Dang_Plastic_Encasement|Hot Dang Plastic Encasement]]
**[[FBP_Pressed_Plastic|Pressed Plastic]]
*United States
**[[FBP_Nutsy|Nutsy]]
**[[FBP_Multiplicity|Multiplicity]]
**[[FBP_SimpleSimon|Simple Simon]]
*West Africa
**[[FBP_LC_Sheller|The LC sheller]]
**[[FBP_The_Full_Bell|The Full Bell]]

Image:HDPE2504.jpg|'''[[FBP_Hot_Dang_Plastic_Encasement|Hot Dang Plastic Encasement]]'''
A safe incubator for local health centers, be easily assembled, be portable, need minimal operating capabilities and will keep the infant warm and hydrated.
The solution employs crocheting yarn made from the plastic bags into a loose form of the shape desired and then using heat to fuse the crocheted plastic into a hard plastic mold.

Image:Beautiful_briquette.jpg|'''[[Corn Cob Charcoal Crusher]]'''
Image:Sheller.jpg|'''[[FBP_LC_Sheller|The LC sheller]]'''
Crush corn cob charcoal into a powder than can be made into a briquette that does not produce a lot of carbon monoxide and can be used indoors.
To improve the Universal Nut Sheller(UNS), the LC Sheller(Light, Cheap Sheller) design lowered the cost and weight of existing design using locally available and light weight materials.

Image:Multiplicity_Original_Rotor.jpg|'''[[FBP_Multiplicity|Multiplicity]]'''
By partnering with local health centers, SNAP can bring cheap and reliable diagnostic testing to the people by simplifying sample preparation for diagnostic tests.
The Full Belly Project hopes to market this mini nut sheller to the United States public, increasing awareness and funding of the Full Belly Project’s goals.

Image:The_Inside_of_Nutsy.jpg|'''[[FBP_Nutsy|Nutsy]]'''
The purpose of this project is to design and build an affordable, efficient thresher for pearl millet.
<nowiki>[Our goal was]</nowiki> to be smaller, more portable, and more aesthetically pleasing so that they could have a product marketable within the United States.

Image:Picohydro-template.JPG|'''[[Picohydro generator]]'''
Image:FBP_pressed_plastic.jpg|'''[[FBP_Pressed_Plastic|Pressed Plastic]]'''
Tools that can be used to easily convert a car alternator into an electric generator for picoHydro systems.
The objective was to create a process in which waste plastic can be reused to form molds for peanut shellers.

Image:1.jpg|'''[[Power Generation from Mechanical Devices]]'''
Image:Loganpicture.jpg|'''[[FBP_SimpleSimon|Simple Simon]]'''
Convert the motion of the treadle pump, a widespread irrigation tool used by millions in Asia and Africa, into electricity.
Our assignment was to modify the <nowiki>[Full Pelly Project]</nowiki> design in order to make it suitable for the United States market.

Image:Ropeway_testing.jpg|'''[[Ropeway in the Himalayas]]'''
Design an affordable ropeway to transport roof tiles and various preserves made by a women's cooperative in the village of Ranikhet up steep hills.

Image:FamicomClone.gif|'''[[Educational Television Computer]]'''
Image:FBP_FullBell_Hopper.jpg|'''[[FBP_The_Full_Bell|The Full Bell]]'''
We propose the use of existing $10 TV-Computers to promote education within developing countries.
It <nowiki>[The Full Bell]</nowiki> improves the original UNS by reducing the cost and increasing durability of the sheller.

Image:HIV-budding-Color.jpg|'''[[Breast Milk HIV Shield]]'''
Provide the foundation for what might become a possible solution for reducing the transmission of HIV from mother to child via breast milk.

Image:Imageneeded.png|'''[[Interlocking Stabilized Soil Block (ISSB) Maker]]'''
Improve upon existing designs of presses, so that communities can use locally available resources and skills to produce soil blocks in order to make building projects more accessible.
