How to measure the accuracy/reproducibility of a syringe pump using a digital mass scale. Accuracy/Reproducibility Protocol: AFTER CALIBRATION 1. Use a liquid with a known density (water) to test this. 2. Put some water in the syringe. 3. Push out 5mL of water onto a scale. Record the mass in grams. 4. Repeat step 3 nine more times. 5. Calculate the volume of water that came out each trial. (Volume = Mass/Density) 6. Compare each trial the volume of each trial to 5mL. Reproducibility = Actual/Theoretical x 100%
