Sustainable fleet transport may mean:

  • Smaller vehicles - this can be a perceived as lower status, but generally a good smaller car provides more than adequate comfort and greater convenience (parking and maneuverability).
  • Hybrid vehicles - more expensive upfront, but cheaper running costs
  • Cycling - for trips within a company's complex. Google does this[verification needed] and so do some industrial companies, e.g. on oil refineries.[1]

  1. At least, this was the case in approx. 1990-91 when I visited the Esso refinery in Sale, Victoria, Australia, and Shell refinery (I think) in Sydney. --Chriswaterguy · talk 11:25, 30 October 2007 (PDT)
