=== Field Testing === * A learning-based approach to field testing managed by local farmers can help increase adoption rates among farmers and ensure the appropriateness of the technology and application. This has been seen by The International Potato Centre in Lima, Peru. During the first cropping season farmers could learn about biol application rates in comparison to other available fertilizers as well as soil basics. During the second season a Farmer Field School could come in to encourage farmers to use and experiment with the concepts learned from the first season. Farmer involvement in testing ensures that the technology is appropriate for their specific needs and situation as well as speeding up the adoption process.<ref>Regula Züger.
